Newb

Hi yall! Got referred over to this site by KT (KMFT?) from HPD, he said I could get all my questions answered over here! I'm not on a bike yet, need some answers.

This summer I would like to put myself on a sportbike, 600 probably.I would classify myself as a beginner, just cause it has been awhile. I used to ride dirt bikes so I sort of know my way around them and know to respect them I have ridden a Gixxer 1ooo very lightly. On to what I want to know...

I will probably be looking at used ones, what should I look for problem wise and what not? What is standards for mileage wise? And how much is insurance costing yall, how much does it differ from new purchase and used? Is it like a car where if it's new you have to pay for premium ins.? Where is a good place to search for used ads? Do you think a 6 is too big?

I know it's a lot of questions, but I know there is alot of experienced riders on this board with valuable opinions. And hopefully I can join the two wheeled crowd this summer!

you can look at the for sale section in the forum for some bikes as well as craigslist (thats where I found mine) insurance is costing me about 40 a month for liability + theft, a 6 is only as big as you make it to be take it easy and don't get ahead of yourself

good luck and welcome
