yes sir, right chere! i took my 7 ft milton whilar out last year to florida. it sucked cuz i was in panama city. waves were in need of a 8 or 9 footer. the year before that i went with a friend to lima peru. we surfed a beach called mira flores. pretty good but too much crush. it was the middle of their winter so i was in my suit with as much anti-freeze as i could i'm thinkin my next trip is gonna be to cali. i'd like to drive over there for a week and get into it with some locals. ventura or laguna beach is what i'd like to check out next and one of my life goals before i go is to most def surf pipeline! that's what all this practice is leadin up to. i'm gonna make it happen

when I broke up with my Ex, she took back my 8'0 Channel Island M-13 that she gave me for my birthday, I have been meaning to go get a new board but I have got other things on my plate, that and my love of riding has slightly overshadowed my forsaken love of the water......

but my fave spot is down in Matagorda across the intercoastal, and then you walk about a mile and there is an awesome poind break and when the conditions are right it fkn dumps...... but the sand has a high clay mixture and it sometimes causes this weird orange foam....

but most of the time I just go to surfside or Quintana

I still need a new board tho I'm thinking something 7'0 or 7'6

the shape of the al merrick is perfect for my style. plus im a bigger dude so i need the floatation of the 7'6" board. id like to go smaller but i plane real quick on that board.. perfect for texas coast's weak a$$ waves. i like hitting up hurricane action though... ill head to galveston or surfside when we get lots of tropical activity in the gulf, usually makes it worthwhile

I tried in Hawaii, don't know the board. Learned a little, started getting where I could stand up, but that is as far as i got. Did wind surfing too, that is a blast.

really only worth hitting the texas coast when theres tropical activity in the gulf. ive never ventured outside of surfside-galveston-corpus though. manage to get some surf action in daytona fl. couple years ago, kinda sucked.

+1 on lake galveston only being good during tropical activity. I have tried tanker surfing once. fun but feels long. (zippy roads vs a road trip kind of way). I am going to salt creek this summer. never surfed it but heard good things about it.

I went in Hawaii a few times. Always on a borrowed board and mainly because my friend who took me, Jill, looked so awesome in a bikini.
