If you have taken physics then you would have a better understand of what all happened. If Dustin was hauling major he would have done a whole lot more damage. RIP.... I am sure the rider was just enjoying the ride when all this occured... those who knew the kid said he got the bike to show off and whatnot but if he was alone then the likely hood off him haulin and showin off was slim.
as opposed to perhaps... English?

Seriously, as I stated earlier...there's not enough information to guess what happened.

Troopers look at speed in motorcycle wreck that killed 3
Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle

State troopers are investigating whether speed contributed to a crash between a motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle that killed three people and injured three others in Brazoria County.

Dustin Lackey, 18, of Freeport, the driver of a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle, was dead at the scene, as were Guadalupe Sykes, 41, and her son Alex Polito, 14, who were passengers in a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The crash happened about 8:20 p.m. Thursday when the Jeep turned from FM 523 onto Brazoria County Road 226 near Clute and was struck on the passenger side by the motorcycle.

Both of the people killed in the Jeep were sitting on the passenger side, said Department of Public Safety Sgt. Randy Jones.

Troopers are conducting tests to see how fast the motorcycle was traveling, he said.

The Jeep's driver, Elbert Sykes, 45, and passengers Jeremiah Sykes, 5 and Kayle Polito, 8, were treated and released from Brazosport Hospital

pic of the jeep....IDK but the main damage seems pretty high up on the Jeeps side. I guess i was expecting it to be a little lower on the side considering the normal height for a bike.

The frame rails are low, the bike and rider basically endoed into the side.

Do a search on lilmckees wreck and look at the damage he did with this body.. his bike never hit the car.

sorry to hear about this tragic accident.

I've ridden that area many times and the sight distance at that intersection is long - maybe close to a mile in either direction, but it is dark out there.

Who knows - maybe the motorcycle rider was one of those guys who had disabled his headlight so he could run from the cops easier and the car driver just did not see him??

It would be easy to go waaaay fast on that section of road which has not much traffic or houses.

Looking at the extensive damage to the side of the car, it appears the motorcycle was most likely going at a high rate of speed.

Especially considering the door pillar area on a car is very strong. To push it and the roof in like that took considerable velocity on the part of the motorcycle.

Mass + velocity = tremendous force

It was a sad event.
