Exclamation I think I ruined my new Chain. Your opinion?

Oh man...
I tried to be all Mr. Handy and i think i messed up my brand new chain.
I thought i bought a clip-on chain but instead i bought a rivet chain. I borrowed a chain tool and i think i f-ed up my master link.

What do you guys think? Can it be saved?

I havent pushed down the rivet yet. But i cant get the master link plate off anymore. What to do?

Helo.

Oh.. i think it is messed up because one side of the master link wont bend much. The other end seems fine though. Strange, because i used a chain tool that was suppose to press evenly.

It should be fine, it just looks like one side may be a bit tight on the roller that's all. After a few hundred miles it should loosen up.

Has this ever happened to you?

I also replaced my Sprockets too. Oh gosh wouldnt that just be a kicker if this ruined my sprockets?

I'm so P-ed... The plates look like its properly squeezed. I just dont know why one side refuses to flex.

Patrick is THE man fyi. . . if you're that worried about it you can just buy a new master link and try again, your chain is not toasted b/c of it. If Patrick says it looks good than you're probably good to go
