Helmet Cam test

Below is a video of my first helmet cam test. Take it easy on me, it's also the first time I ever attempted any type of video editing.

No wheelie at the end? Looked good, I think at one point you were trying to catch a glimpse of the speedo?

Cam = Motocomm DSR-100, edited with Windows Movie Maker.

Sure enough, there was a couple of times I tilted the head trying to pick up the speedo. The cam just doesn't do to well in low light situations.

After shipping and everything, $275 was the best price I could find. However, I would not recommend it. The reasons are as follows:

1) Device arrived defective. The select button did not work. I didn't want to wait to ship it back and get another one so I took it apart. Instead of the buttons being soldered to the circuit board a glue gun was used.

2) Very poor picture quality in low light situations.

3) The last reason is the number one reason I would not recommend it. If the battery dies during a recording session, the file becomes corrupt. You can view the video. But you can't fast forward, rewind. Nor does Windows video editing software recognize the file.

Don't get me wrong, I bought it. So I'll put it to good use. I just wouldn't buy it again.

Nice Job!

As an alternative I have one of these...http://www.amazon.com/Oregon-Scientific-Action-Memory-Camcorder/dp/B000F5FKHI/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=12075316 84&sr=8-1

Paid $80 for it & have been very happy with it.

Some recent ride footage...
