Keith, I have a pair of Frank Thomas boots you can have if they'll fit ya....size 11.5 I think. They aren't the best in the world (they were free to me compliments of Josh302), but better than riding in tennies. Let me know if you want them, I'll take a pic tonight and post up here tomorrow morning.

Looks nice... how did you paint the helmet? Did you have to sand it and prime it... or did you just start painting right on it?

I actually began to peel all the paint off but I think I was doing more damage then good so I just masked up the areas I didn't want painted and went to town. I used a cheap spray paint from Wal-Mart, I had used it before on another helmet and it did really well the only problem was I painted the rubber parts and they stayed sticky all the time. So this time I masked all the rubber, removed the shield and put a plastic bag inside the helmet and taped it to where the shield was. I put my arm in a plastic bag and just held it up and sprayed it. I did two seperate coats because you could still faintly see the black after the first coat. I used a quick dry paint.

It looks good for a Wally world job... you said you were good with a can, you should post a how to... albeit, after you write one up...

I want to spray a spare helmet I have, but don't know where/how to start, was thinking of just sanding it down with some small grit sandpaper, then priming it, and then got to town.... but don't know if I have wetsand it or dry sand it...

Good idea, I think my brother is going to pick up a cheap one for him to paint. We'll do a pic write up

Thanks for the compliments

Those don't look like track boots, they look more like harley cruising boots... the some they do have for sport, look cheaply made and not protective at all. i don't know if I would trust it.... Leatherup.com
