Holy !

Holy F@cK!

So I come to work today, and I'm all depressed coz - well i'm showing up to work to pull doubles (16 hours)...

as i pull in, I see this huge 18 wheeler (like a fat, nice one) blocking half the parking lot , so i'm thinking to myself great some driver...

Well i park, get out of my truck (new to me ) and walk towards the entrance when I see the side of the 18 wheeler, it had a Yamaha R1 AMA sweetly drawn on the side, and it said "Graves Yamaha" on it.

At this point my mouth became dry, and I literally ran towards the truck only to find it locked.

blah blah..

turns out we have some factory yamaha guys staying here, I ended up meeting the driver of the truck (can't mention name) but he was nice enough to sneak me into the truck and show me around. And OH MY GAWD! are the factory AMA bikes sweet or what!

Just standing in the truck around R1s and R6s and R125s all painted graves factory color gave me a hard on! The dude was cool enough to let me sit on em and gave me a personal tour.

Apparently the team just got done testing in Florida and are on their way back to Cali and TX is just a stop ...

Anyways, thought I'd share...

PS: The R125s are F`ing cool!

PPS: No I did'nt get any pictures or autographs...

PPPS: The riders that are staying I have no clue, they seem like test riders to me, but some Josh E. or Josh A. is one of em whose got No 46. (no clue who he is, but the driver said he's like 18 or 19).

Yea it was bad ! It totally made my whole day, good thing I did'nt ride the Repsol to work today either :P! Hahaha...

Josh Herrin, so that's his name. Yea the driver said he's the big rider with them along with some test riders.

What was interesting was how many bikes they had stored in that truck! I mean atleast a dozen!

I don't watch AMA at all - its pretty boring. After 2-3 laps you always know whose gonna win . (yea you could say the same for MotoGP).

I've lately just been very busy with work and life in general - so this year i'm just sticking with MotoGP.

Yea that's what the driver of the truck said aswell. I was wearing my ring that has the numbers 46 engraved on it, he giggled about it and said Josh is a huge fan or Rossi and is No.46.

Umm maybe I should start following this Josh character...:/:

Super cool, man. I don't know any of the racers, either. I don't like to get too personal with all that . Freaky racing politics... I could care less.

But we all like to see cool goodies on a scooter!!!!!! Wish ya could've got some pics, however I know you'll never forget what you saw and touched.

Update! You guys are soo gonna call me liar...

I got to ride the Graves YZF R1 (2006) Josh Hayes's old bike! (now who is this?)

Oh and I also got to meet some of the riders (can't mention names).

And I also got some schooling about who Josh Herrin is, get this... he himself does not want to go to MotoGP, but rather his dad Phil Herrin is forcing and making him do it.

I also learnt how Graves came into being, Mr.Chuck Graves (owner of Graves), also got to see his pictures and hear the story of him building the Graves stuff from scratch.

Also found out that Phil Herrin was the one that started roadracing back in the day and was'nt upto par (by his standards) so he made an oath to put his son on a two wheeler before he learnt how to walk. That's how Josh Herrin was treated.

Also got info on how Josh Herrin started at age 6ish, and how he won an epic battle with Jamie Hacking/Roger Hayden (some other big names).

, too much info - I also got promised by the "Chief Transportation dude for Graves Yamaha" to get guest passes for the Indianpolis & Laguana races for MotoGP (I got his email and phone number to keep in touch)...

wow i feel really good about life right now :P
