Do you have insurance for your track bike????

Well im paying a lot per month for insurance approx $170 (full coverage). My deductible isnt cheap either. My insurance company now covers my bike if something would happen at the track, but since my deductible is so high i dont think it would be worth paying it if i crashed.

Question is does anyone have insurance for there track bike, if not, will you just "write it off" if you crash it beyond repair.

If i get rid of it its an extra 170 in my pocket to use for td, tires, accessories, etc.

Good idea or no?

For a street bike I would have full coverage or as close to full coverage as I could afford. Insurance is nice if someone decides to make your baby their baby.

i dont track it yet....but wouldnt it be smart to buy a track bike so you wouldnt be bikeless if you had a bad day. i just dont see buying a new bike and chancing it. no offense to those who do it. but besides the obvious danger why ruin a sweet new bike and then still have a payment.

yea but this is going to be a track bike....its going to wreck at some point. plus my deductible is too high. i would be better paying for something out of pocket instead

keep in mind, if you owe on it....carry insurance.

I am okay with the thought that worse case scenario I total my piece and I'm out my investment of 2500 bucks.

Sell your bike and buy a track bike. Let someone else spend thre money on setting something up well and enjoy the fruits of their labor at a fraction of the cost.

thats not bad. If you had a 250 or 500 deductible you would be paying 240-300 a month.
