what shoei model do you have? the air flow between the rx7 corsair and the shoei x-11 is pretty close.

My RX-7 Corsair seems to flow a bit better than my X-11.

I've had a RX-7 Corsair through 2 summers, an Icon Mainframe through 1/2 summer, and a Shoei RF1000 (not through a Summer, yet). The Mainframe has excellent ventilation, but it's heavy and noisy, so I hardly use it. The RX-7 is an excellent helmet, and has the best ventilation of any helmet I've ever owned, but although lighter, it's still noisy and big. The RF1000 has adequate ventilation, but it's smaller and quieter, and I think even lighter than the Corsair; therefore, it's the one I like to wear the most.

i have the Rx7 that i bought today a FR1000 and a scorpion exo 700 . Out of the 3 i would have to say that the scorpion has the best airflow through they helment but it is very noisey. Not like the Arai or the Shoei

so anybody in here uses the scorpion 1000 and give a good feedback on it? I like it[despite the weight] but I'm trying to decide between this and the rx-7 frost black. The arai is only $100 more than the scorpion, however, the exx1000 has cooler features and it's also pretty good looking.

I had an EX700 for a bit. While it's a decent helmet, it doesn't hold a candle to my Arai imo.

Clyde / BrutusTX has both, try pm'ing him on his thoughts.

As far as air flow / wind noise.
Typically if the helmet has good air flow there's more wind noise.

I wear ear plugs when I ride anyway.
It eliminates the wind noise so I hear ambient sounds as well as my engine better.

If you haven't tried it, give it a shot. Plus your hearing will thank you down the road.
