Teaching the GF to ride...

I have to say she did great, considering she's never been on a bike and can't drive a standard.

...get ready for racer x to give you the speech of MSF and people self taught or by friends or family are more likely to get in an accident then the ones that have taken MSF.

I think its cool though, i taught my woman to ride the track bike around big parking lots.

It's cool that you posted up pics to brag about her progress. Does she have an account on here too?

for the gear. But if may offer one suggestion: get her some gloves too.

Good job!

Get her to wear gloves and boots that cover the ankles too. Road rash can happen from a stopped bike as well as a moving one.

That is a cool looking bike!!

Nice... good to see more woman getting involved and not by being passengers...

Guys, lay off the RacerX ... yeah, most of us don't agree with what he has to say, but you can't deny statistics.... sorry for the rant, it is just I have read a number of threads today that go off topic just about this dude... I don't even know him, but ....

Yeah, I know she needs gloves but ya'll are way over analyzing this, she never got out of 2nd gear. I know that can cause roadrash but she never got over 15-20 mph. But I know she needs them.

I didn't either in MSF, but I dropped the bike and fell off. Gloves saved my hands. :/: Give her yours.

Still- very cool that she's doing it!

Don't tell, but I rode my bike in my driveway without gloves before MSF!

Awesome, that you are teaching her! Like everyone said, though...

Gloves are a must... remember when you fell off of your bicycle when you were a kid... That's at least what she'll get, if she falls off of the motorcycle going 10 mph, if not worse.

Then I'd get her some boots, too.
