Kudos to the dealer for addressing this in the manner that he has. Every business, no matter how hard they try to avoid it, is going to make mistakes and have customer service issues. It's the manner in which they address them that separates exceptional businesses from those that you should avoid.

Everyone who has read or participated in this thread has had the opportunity to see first hand how this company has worked through the issue with minimal real inconvenience to their customer. They deserve a lot of credit for this.

The good will that this engenders should prove to be far more valuable for this dealer in the long run than the money he lost due to the error. I actually think it's to his benefit that this made it to a public forum (remember everyone makes mistakes). I for one would not hesitate to do business with this dealer based on what I have seen here.

Good job - congrats to all involved for finding the right solution

Tom,

Thinking about switching to the darkside, I4? I've said it before, if I were to do it, this would be the option I would go with.

You guys should have known Pike would try his very best to make good. And sure enough he did.

please explain to me why not. if there was a problem, thats what friends are for-advice...or perhaps to vent. if you ask me, this problem never should have happened to begin with. i understand people make mistakes, but dont try to call people out when theyre seeking advice on someoneELSE's screw up. if youre afraid itll hurt your business, i can understand that, but your little comment didnt help either. just my .02

I'm not sure I understand that statement. I've bought 2 bikes from you and Pike was the saleman for both. I like the guy but let's get back to your statement.

Why shouldn't it have gone up on a public forum? Your customers are the public and we want to know how you handle your business, good or bad. Word of mouth probably accounts for a large portion of your sales.

Frankly, I read Roger's statement and thought "good on ya Galveston Honda."

Then I read your 1st one and it made me wonder if the only reason you handled it they way you did was because the issue had become public. Would you have done the same if you hadn't seen Roger asking for advice? Would you have done the same if the information hadn't been put on a local forum for several thousand motorcycle owners/potential customers to read about? I guess we will never know and I'm glad that Roger is satisfied, but I have to say that I was very disappointed by your response. You could have used this situation to your advantage...........but ya didn't.

So people should only post their positive experiences with your store? By what reasoning can you possibly make that claim?

Regardless, the situation seems to have been resolved in the best possible way. Glad it worked out for you Rojer!

One last thing, Keith. I REALLY didn't like the fact that you titled your post "Wake up !!!!!!!!!!!!!"

You should probably take a step back, count to ten, make a new post and try to salvage what you can from this situation. I just looked and there have been 2000 views of this particular thread. That's a lot of people watching!!

Oh, and Keith, aren't you the guy in charge of internet sales?
