If you have a signed contract by them for 4.9% interest, then it's their baby.
They and you have both signed a legally binding contract, nuff said.

If the salesman gives you any more grief, take it to the General Manager.
If that doesn't work, cal American Honda customm service, the number is in you owners manual.

you have the contract with the 4.9% rate and you already took possesion of the bike. they ****ed up and they have to cover the difference. see what they say and use that as a haggling point if you do want to get a different bike with the same incompetent dealer.

Don't forget to mention to them that you are a member of a very active local online motorcycling community with ???? members/potential customers who are all very interested in hearing how this dealer chooses to address HIS problem. Oh, and take the car, not the bike don't take a chance on them seizing posession.

Have you contacted the loan company? Honda doesn't do its own credit. I believe they use GE Moneybank. Call them and ask what's up. If they verify what Pike says you can always nicely offer to allow them to pick up the USED motorcycle that you have been riding. Chances are that they will suck it up and keep the contract rather than having to take the bike back and sell as a demo. They have room to deal. They always try to sell at full MSRP when there are a large number of dealers who sell volume for much less.

Also, did they notify you in writing? I believe Texas allows a 3 day right of recision. If they haven't given you written notice or picked it up within that period, your battle may have already been won.

+1. If you signed and gave you copy of the paperwork, I think that is the deal. Thier responsiblity to insure their end before you sign.
In Texas, however, there is a three day law (not sure about bikes) that states you can take it back. I don't know if that three day rule works in favor of dealership.
They are regulated, not you.

Id also call a lawyer You have a signed contract that binds them as well as you to the terms of the contract unless stated in fine print somewhere that they can change the apr at anytime. Id also call honda tell them you have consulted a lawyer and he has your contract looking over it and you will get back with them soon as he makes his descion and that from his point of view at the time they (Honda) have to honor there side of the contract.

I just got off the phone with Honda Financing and they haven't received the paperwork and I'm not in the system so the dealership is holding on to the paperwork.

I spoke with the lady on the phone and she said that she can't get involved but the GE money corp is not involved and they wont send us anything until they get a fax from Honda of Galveston.

Yes I do.

I have never answered the phone from this guy calling me but he's left all these voice mails. I'm going to call him and ask exactly what he's doing so I can stop speculating and figure out what I am going to do. I am not a happy camper right now I'll keep you all updated.

dang 4.9 to 18 which is the max for auto intrest i believe, my question is why didnt they know thisd before they let you go with it, 18percent from 4.9 is huge diff on credit history, also were is your old bike? did they sell it already?

Then please use it. He's driving me nuts about this.

FWIW. He's not trying to eff anyone over. He also does NOT want this to end in a returned bike. He WILL work with you to salvage this.

Yes, I feel comfortable speaking on his behalf. Don't ask.

i hear ya but still intrest is based on credit history, if he had a 700 plus then yea 4.9 is great, below 600 crdit companies make the decission on uppin his rate, man they ****ed up bad if he has a low credit score and let him walk out with a 4.9 and the bike, i seen people get screwed like that at toyota with toyota financial, stupid salesmans trying to push out a sale without looking at all aaspects

I could have easily put down 6 or 7k it's not a big deal Im not worried about that, What I'm worried about is how someone could go back on a deal thats signed and finished.

I could always just go back to Pasadena Honda. I think they are still holding the LE for me too...

I won't post up anything more till I get off work and call him, you can tell him I get off at 7 if you like.

If he makes good then all is forgiven.

btw credit is over 700.
