Street legal 4 wheelers?

Are there street legal 4 wheelers? I remember seeing one a few months back coming out of some apartments on Park Row in West Houston early one morning on the way to work. It plain hauled when it got on the feeder road of I-10. I couldn't get close enough in my truck to see if it had a license plate on it, but it did have turn signals. I also noticed there where a couple in the pic at the top of the web site. Just wondering.

that would be sweet, but they are probably as street legal as a golf cart. Except cops hate them more.

Question is, what would it take to make one street legal. I have a Polaris Predator 500 which would be killer with a kick azz set of rims and street tires. You've seen those big 3 wheeler bikes which are of course street legal, or even home made kit vehicles which are street legal. So could a person make their 4 wheeler street legal? That's be sweeeet!

'No. They are made with Federal approval as off road vehicles. They can't be made street legal for a variety of reasons.'

Then what about the Honda XR650R? You can buy the parts to turn it into a street legal bike. And I'm not talking about the XR650L that comes street legal. Unless the 650R is not considered a off road vehicle.

It was pretty wild to see that ATV driving down the road.

Not trying to start an argument, just curious.

when there's a will there's a way, and i'm gonna bet if you follow the letter of the law, they wouldn't be legal in any state.

i think you use to be able to make them street legal in CA but not anymore. if you had it done before the law passed you can keep it. otherwise no new street legal ATV's

Ive actually looked into this before it you cannot make them street legal becuase there titled as for "Off-Road-Use-Only" so while everyone watches the stunt videos and sees the stunters in Cali riding them they are doing so illegally
