Fastest bike was Charlies, he went 240mph on sat, sunday he went 238 a couple times, with DaveO riding it, they went 239mph but with more head/crosswind. TrickTom's bike went 237mph on the VERY first pass on a completely new build, that was with only 23lbs of boost, 2nd pass we turned it up to around 30lbs and it melted down in 6th, coasted to 19x.mph... Rustman went 214 on his first pass with 13lbs of boost, turned his up to 25lbs or so and it melted on its 2nd pass in 6th gear and coasted to 211mph. Karl's ALL MOTOR ZX12 was going 199mph and was the fastest all motor bike by far. Lots of big motor+nitrous bikes going 195-198mph. Gary hit 202 on his ZX12 with a big motor+spray.

Keep in mind, this is not all out top end racing like Bonneville salt flats or El Mirage, this is a standing mile only.... AKA> only 1 MILE to get this fast, not 5-6 miles like other Land Speed racing events.

To put it in perspective, the Y2K jet/turbine engine bike only went 19x.mph....

We had this trip planned out several months in advance, You would have had to get a hotel in like San Antonio if you didn't book it early. I believe 170 participants showed up to race, not to mention thousands of spectators.

Go check the link I posted to the album, TONS of pics there of cars, the pits etc.

BTW I gotta find a used 50 (fiddy) for a pit bike so if you come across one for sale, let me know.

BTW, Charlies bike(the one that ran 240mph) makes 636hp/330lbs tq turned all the way up.(Around 36lbs of boost or so). I think they ran it around around 28-30lbs this weekend..... Crazy..... both Charlies and Tommy's were still spinning the rear tire in 6th gear, @220+mph...still spinning....imagine if they could get it to hook up 100%.

Tommy's went 237mph with 23lbs of boost which is around 450hp on his bike, over drive 5th/6th gears and still spinning the rear through the traps...

Hey focker, I gotta come ride your fiddy and see if I can get my long legs on the pegs..... I have to get a pit bike, I walked over 10 miles yesterday alone.....(up and down the pits one time is exactly 2 miles), I walked it at least 4 times yesterday, not counting walking all over the staging lanes etc....NO WAY I am walking that much next time...

Keep your eyes open also, I know you run around with the fiddy people.

Are melt downs pretty common? I guess if you are going for a record or top billing, you have to push the limit. Sounds like an expensive addiction. Oh yeah, it involves motorcycles, therefore $$$$.

Cool pics.
