ninja 250r

I have been reading and looking around a lot lately being that I can buy a bike soon. And even being that I have some motorcycle experience I'm thinking about picking up a 2008 Ninja 250r. The reasons behind this are that I will be able to afford the bike its self more, the gas prices, and most of all insurance. And I figure I will get a lot of good skills out of riding it. I thought Id post and get some other peoples opinions.

Thanks

Yeah, I have seen the Hyosung 250 too. They aren't bad looking, But there hard to find and parts.. and people to work on them. So I think the ninja is best choice.

Smart guy......nice to see someone actually think through the after purchase expense. You will do well with the 250, actually a blast on the track too.

Great...!!! You can not go wrong with the Ninja 250 of any year, but the new 2008 looks awesome for the price and 50MPG that is hard to beat.

Check the review of the 2008 model.

i have to say the 250 ninja is a nice bike .... the only problem is that if u like speed u will want to upgrade... everyone that gets a bike no matter who you are falls in love with it and gets upgrade fever.... were u want a new exhaust etc.... dont get me wrong i learned how to ride on a 250 nina but only for about a week and i was ready for a 600 ...... something to consider if u are going to have it for awhile.... used 600 same price as new 250

The ninja 250's are great bikes, 60 + mpg, the insurance was a bit higher because they said that this is the most filed on bike there is. I have an 03, 07 & 08 you can come by if you wanna check them out before you go to purchase to see the difference.
