VTX 1300 is carbed, if he goes with the V-Star 1300 it's injected, and i think it looks better

for a first bike?

Book is $7800 so he's not too far off. The VTX is not a bad bike, not bad on the HP which I think is around 110.

If its a first bike, its a little too big and cumbersome. In a panic, its not easy to handle.

vtx

I just bought a vtx 1300 as my first bike.. took about a week to get used to, now I love it. I say go for it, I have had mine for less than 2 months and put 1700 miles on it.
