swingarm is fine...lol. the law just states that is has to be in the rear, near the license plate, and visible.....swingarm is close enough for me and about 99% of the rest of PoPo.

I used to have mine on the swing arm. I once was pulled over for my fender eliminator kit, cop cited be for obstructed license plate, expired inspection, and improper display of inspection sticker, also gave me a warning of no license plat light and not using my signals at least 50 ft. before I switch lanes.

I now keep everything up to date and I still have my fender eliminator, but I drilled some small holes through it to hold my plate and keep my inspection sticker underneath that. I still don't have a plate light though.

I don't recommend putting it on the swing arm. But you're innocent until proven guilty anyways.
