I think it will be a good battle between the Spaniards with Stoner sneaking up on them and maybe stealing it in the last few laps. I don;t see his usual mid race check out this go round. Pedrosa will be the early leader for sure, tough to beat off the line. It's going to be a cracker for sure.

I hope so, I am getting bored with Stoner's check out moves. I'll have to amend my previous prediction about him doing that, he's having a rotten week thus far.

I hope that Jorge and Dani keep him honest, and I'd love to see Nicky and Colin keep a pace up front too!

I wanted to check each riders race rubber times, that is what is going to help more to see who will win this one. I still think stoner can get it.

I don't mean to knock Bridgestones, but they seem to only work for Stoner.

I gotta check, but wasn't 3 out of the top 5 on Bridgestones last race? I'll have to go look now... I remember that Qatar was not kind to the Bridgestones in FP or QP.

With the majority of the field running Stones, only 3 riders made the top 10 in the last race.

2 of the top 5 at Losail
Stoner P1
Rossi P5

Look at what bikes that run Bridgestones mainly
Kawasaki
Ducati
Suzuki
Satalite Honda (Gresini)
Rossi is the only Yamaha on Bridgestone

Last year all of the Bridgestone bikes did well.
This year Suzuki, Kawasaki and Gresini all have pretty much new riders on new equipment. What that means is Pedrosa, Nicky, Colin; all are riding familiar bikes on familiar tires. They are the ones that are consistently up front. Losail is somewhat of an exception because most riders have not gotten their packages fully developed yet, this can leave room for some of the young guns to run up front. Now with that said, Lorenzo is showing a lot of promise, but he is riding on the fruits of Rossi's labor. His suggestions and developement from previous years are paying dividends right now. Rossi's switch did not hurt him, he lost faith in Michelins and mentally did not have any confidence in them. Bridgestones are working fine, Suzuki, kawasaki just don't have the machines right now, Melandri has not come to grips with the Ducati animal, and the Gresini team has not recieved any of the "good" stuff yet. Pedrosa and Nicky will be taking the lions share of that...on Michelins. So see it is not so much the tires, it is the machines on the tires and the riders on those machines. When Rossi perfects his setup with the Bridgestones, it's going to get real interesting up front.

BTW Stoner did not win every race last year, he ran well and finished every race.

Not to mention, it's only coming up on the second race! It's a loooong season.

Having watched FQ and the ease with which he was turning in consistant fastest laps you would have to say Lorenzo is your man.
