dang it i got a ticket

i got a ticket friday night past on westhiemer...well i just got bombarded with letters from law office.....Well come to find out my ticket is 860 FREAKING dollars....man some one help a brother out

480 for speeding and 380 for failure to signal....now these papers didnt come from the police or court...this was only on the letters that i got from all these law office

You got it wrong somewhere. Call the department that gave you your ticket tomorrow and give them the ticket # or your DL and they will tell you how much $$ it is.

Sorry to hear about that. I too am a bit skeptical that the fine is ~$900... Regardless, there's a lawyer named Sproecker or Sprecker who is apparently phenomenal and getting people out of tickets. I know several of my friends have used him before with great results.

I'll see if I can find his name and contact info.

VEHICLE. A person who owns a vehicle or employs or otherwise
directs the operator of a vehicle commits an offense if the person
requires or knowingly permits the operator of the vehicle to
operate the vehicle in a manner that violates law.

yeah they say that i dont even have to show up in court....they only say i have to pay $100...i thought it was to go to be true..

Pretty sure you're wrong too. In most counties it's $10 per mile over until you get to $200. Even in Harris County where it's different, 39 over is only $280

I just paid one in deerpark and no lie it was 90 in a 60 and it was 366 and some change .. ill look for my receipt .. maybe they deferred it for that price?

I had a 79 on 50 in harris county and was gonna pay $225 with deferred adjudication and 3 months probation. 480 does sound kinda high.

Went to court Tuesday and got dismissed.
