really? do you have anymore pictures that maybe I don't have? I received a notice from the City of Houston a few days later to come "pick up" my car from their lot...I called them and asked them if I can just go in to look and take pictures eventhough the car was no longer mine...they said NO and hung up...

Compassion is not the same as sympathy. Whatever stupidity caused his death, he still died a scary and painful death, and he should be at least pitied. The post, or whatever thoughts are put out there in public, are certainly only for the survivors - the ones who have to live on with the pain the rest of their lives - it just doesn't help them to spout off such sour notes, that have no value for anyone else. The only thing your sour posts do, Racer X, is to show the unfriendly side of your personality.

So, either you get it and don't care, you don't get it, or you know you should get it, but can't stand the idea that you might be in the wrong.

Can't help with the pathetic first scenario. Can help with the second (I'm trying). and if for the third... just toughen up a bit - nobody is perfect - anybody can learn from anybody else, no matter hold much of an "old dog" you are.

There is no reason to not feel badly for this person, regardless of the fact that he was riding irrationally and stupidly, and his motorcycle-related fatality was only a matter of time. There is more reason to show compassion for everyone involved, and the poor soul who died.

This is my last post on the subject. Peace - Out.

I think from now on, no one should post any RIP threads unless you are ready to be flamed for your involvements/associated with the mistakes and stupidities of the dead riders.
In short, if you are going to tell a story be prepared to hear it from both sides. If you are looking for compassion, pity, or whatever, look to yourself and ask the victim's family for it. Internet is for .

I agree.

Point is, the is a message board for everyone to post opinions. You might not like EVERYONES opinons, no reason to attack anyone. If you dont agree, post a rebutle thats civil, and or ignore the person you disagree with. I do, works for me.

You know, it's easy enough to say... a friend of myne, or I guy I know was invovled in an accident. Prayers etc welcome if you want to gives condolences etc...
A post that merely links to an accident report on the news etc, comes across as just that... a heads up, and the discussion from there can flow as it will.

My respect goes to both, fault or no fault, rider. I will not defend anyone that rides like an and killed him/herself. I'd feel bad for the family but that's about it. I don't or won't say anything that would hurt the family even if it's the truth like some would.

Oh snap!
I blasted that turn a couple hours ago, seen a couple peeps standing there looking at a nice cross with flowers.... I raised up, shifted, and slowed to twice the limit thinking "I bet that was a cycle rider" that sux!
Sorry for anyone's loss.
