PoPo's OTHER knee is f-ed up!!!

As many of you all know, I had a bad accident at MSRHouston in January... my bike hopefully will be ready soon thanks to Radar... I injured my left knee, as many of you all saw that day but now I messed up my right knee... I was riding a normal pedal bike and jumped a ramp my 10 year old nephew built... as soon as I landed I felt my knee pop and the onset of pain was instant... quickly my knee swelled up (which I later found out it was blood)... so far I have had x-rays and 3 viles of blood have been removed which reduces swelling and pressure... the Dr. thinks that I tore my ACL and the miniscus... MRI will be done this week to see exactly why it is I cant put any weight on it and if surgery can wait or will it need to be ASAP... just goes to show you that you can get hurt doing anything and not just on Motorcycles... I hope this heals quick so I can start riding with all of you again...

Sucks to hear. I had my left knee overhauled when I was only 16 and it still sucks

How does all this affect your work?

Well right now I am on a medical leave until the MRI results are in... I know a buddy of mine that had a torn ACL and worked for a year before having surgery... I hope that I can do that too since I burned a lot of time with my FIRST knee accident... And thanks Squoddy, its good to be back... I will hopefully start posting lots more now that I have a new pc... I really am looking forward to riding again and seeing all my MH friends at the meets like old times... lol

I had the same injury from football in 9th grade. The first dr. said surgury was the only option. Second said same. Third was a sports med. dr. that said a leg brace for 6 weeks and I should be ok. I went with that option and I'm fine now. The first said I would not be able run again. He was wrong. My point is check with a sports dr. they see these injuries more often.

Man, I'm sorry to hear this. I TOTALLY feel your pain. Three weeks after getting over my dislocated shoulder I broke my collar bone. Now I'm dealing with that. Good luck.
