RideSmart TWS (Texas World Speedway) track day - follow up

So the day has come and gone, and what a day it was.
Weather - couldn't ask for better conditions.
I saw many people just having a superb time enjoying the track.
Dave decided to buy another hour for our enjoyment, which was a really nice thing too.
Overall, the day was an outstanding success. Even those harley and cruiser bike guys (two of them), had a blast and can't wait to return again.

Good job to everyone for making this day a huge success. See you there next time. Anyone know when the photo guy will post the pictures, and what the link to the pics is?

Yep, there were a few get-offs in level 4 that caused a few delays, so Dave bought an extra hour from TWS (Texas World Speedway) and we ran till 6:00.

I know the Level 2 guys were super happy about the extra one hour!

Let's hope for future days like this one aswell (weather wise), the weather just could'nt have been better!

Cool

Amen on the beautiful weather on Saturday! I had a great time, and TWS (Texas World Speedway) is one of my favorite tracks. My group, 2, started out rather large but was thinned out to about 20 after lunch. By then it was like having the track all to yourself! The new owner of TWS (Texas World Speedway) seemed like a nice guy and will hopefully complete the improvements to the track in May. Overall, a GREAT day! And as far as the pictures go, just email Doug at digitalphotocafe@gmail.com and he will send you the picks and you can order them from him.

that's not my photo's, Doug Pawlak takes them. That's just the link he sent me when I asked for the track day pics.
+1 on what houseofpain said. He takes great pics, but is extremily slow. When I sent him money for my stuff he took 2 months to get me my cd and picture back to me. I thought maybe it was a fluck, but nope. I've used him 3 times and he's still slow. Terrible customer service. I only buy one pic from him if he manages to get one I like for $30. This time he did some good pics of me, but I didn't want to wait 2 months for my pics. I wish Ridesmart would get another photographer out there. I just printed off one on the photo's that was taken by a corner worker. Looks just as good to me.

I think the track videos are a better investment for $25 although I was disapointed with the first and only one I got from Ridesmart. They follow and film me for one lap and it's the first lap when I'm warming up my tires. I think he was filming me for alot of them, but when I got the video (which mind you was literally 4 months later) I only saw one lap with me in it. Not sure if that was a fluck too. Next time I will tell them to film me after I take 1 or 2 laps.

It was a great day for riding, Although I have to admit 2 of the guys in level 4 were my buddies from San Antonio that went down in the horsehoe, they both tucked the front end but they walked away. A+ job for Dave to buy another hour of time and yes the new track owners are even better, They seemed really genuine about there concerns on trying to fix everything and keep us running there. that's all I can ask since that is my favorite track.

its not ridesmarts fault....digital photo cafe has a deal with TWS (Texas World Speedway)...he is the photographer for all TWS (Texas World Speedway) events (well, infield photographer anyways)

Yeah, Dave paid for it, but seemed like many people were getting tired, although a whole bunch of them did come out and ride the last round anyways.
Was a great day.

I am sure you can request to be taped after you warm the tires up. They will not have a problem at all.
Just let them know and they will accommodate you.
Thanks.

yeah I will next time. They seem really laid back. I do like Ridesmart as a track org and plan on riding with them for a long time along with others like Buck at Longhorn. I just don't care for Doug Pawlak being so dang slow with my pics. I mean he lives in Austin. He gets my money in about 2 days. He should be able to turn around the product within 1 week tops. All the hard work was already done at the track. Anyway sounds like I should mention to the new track owners to let another photographer in if there is one wanting to step up. Maybe that's not Dougs only gig, but if it is he is really slow at his job.
Anyway enough ranting.
