How do I remove the lowering link on a 2007 Kawasaki ZX-6R

Hey everyone,

I just bought an '07 Kawasaki ZX-6R that is lowered with a lowering link/dogbone looking thingie. I want to take it off because the suspension is sitting in mid-travel and I want to use it to it's max potential.

Anyone know how to do this?

I heard from someone that the whole rear-end of the bike needs to be suspended. If this is true, how do I go about doing this?

Oh yeah, I asked a shop and they quoted me $120 bux.

Its not that hard just take all the weight off the rear wheel and remove the buts and bolts securing it and put stockers back into place.

oh and how i did it was put the bike on front and rear stands and suspended it up by the subframe by about an inch. Just enough to take all weight off and give you enough room to get the longer dog bone in there. I would help you if i could. Call Patrick @ Motorcycles Unlimited he can get you in the right direction.
