gp shift and dynojet quick shifter on a gilles rearset.

I have Gilles rearsets on my 03 r6 set up for regular shifting. I would like to go to gp shifing and install a quckshifter. is that possible? do i need a new rod? fork? what all would i need?

i dont think youd need anything, all that youre doing is flipping the rod from one side to the other.

wouldnt you rather see the finished product jeff?

I will try to post some pics tomorrow. bike is at my house. I am at work.

they are just the regular gilles sets not the vcr ones. my main concern is the quickshifter.

I don't think it's a big deal. Is it the dynojet model?
Oh and Yes, I would rather see the finished product.
Matter of fact, I KNOW I will see the finished product.

in MOST cases you are right....but this is also dependant on the bike's shifter setup.

i'm not sure how the r6 shifter is setup, but there will be two different types of quickshifters....a push rod or a pull type rod......you should talk to a knowledgeable bike shop (like motorcycles unlimited) and see which type of sensor/rod you need (push or pull) in order to run GP shift.

Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited helped me figure out which type of sensor i needed for my quickshifter setup. he makes life easy for the less knowledgeable.

The rearsets should not cause a problem...

Its actually pretty simple.. Most quick shifters come threaded so you can make cuts...

The program is simple to install, and can adjust it from 35 miliseconds up to like 95 miliseconds...
