CCS Round 4 4/19-20 INFO

CCS will be back at MSRHouston for round 4 April 19 and 20. I have spoken with Travis and there are some good things happening with the races. There will be an inflatable jumper for the kids, LIVE BAND Saturday night, and all around good fun for the whole family. I plan on camping out all weekend with the family at the track.
LICENSE SCHOOL SPECIAL!!
LMS will be teaching the CCS race license class on Saturday 19th, and we are offering Houston area riders the chance for a full day practice with the license school for only 100.00. If you have ever thought about getting your race on, this is a great opportunity to see what it is all about first hand. We are limiting the class to 30 riders so it will run like a normal day and you'll get all the info you need to go race, after that it's up to you, if you wish to continue on, or just hold a license. (You can ride other tracks like OHR with a license) If nothing else you get a full day of on track riding and a lot of information to make you a better educated/safer track rider, for only 100.00. Bike requirements are the same as a normal trackday, but you'll need to comply with CCS tech requirements to race on Sunday. Definately NOT something for the new track riders, but those with a few under the belt. IF you are interested , email slowboattx@yahoo with CCS LICENSE SCHOOL in the subject line. This is the only way to get on track unless you already hold a license and are registered to race Sunday.
CORNER WORKERS
They will need corner workers again so MH folks get the first shot at those spots. We will need 15 each day, pay is a flat 50.00 per day plus free admission and lunch. As always this is a first come first serve ordeal, so check your chalendars first, then FOLLOW THESE VERY SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS.........

Send and email to slowboattx@yahoo dot com with CORNER WORKER in the subject line. I need your full name, a day time contact number and the day or days you wish to work. We'll have 13 corner spots and 2 grid spots. Best seat in the house, so come on out!!

For those that wish to camp out, it's free to camp. LMS will sponsor a couple of kegs to help ease your soreness from riding all day, and to lube up those legs to get your groove on to the live band. I'm looking forward to another great weekend of racing and all around sprotbike fun, hope to see you all there. MOTO HOUSTON PARTY!!! Feel free to post this info on your other fav forums.

Yes you can take the class on Sat and race on Sunday. BIKE MUST MEET CCS TECH TO RACE. You can ride your street bike in class, but the race standard is fuild containing lower and safety wire everything. Larry and I will be happy to help anyone get thier bike race prepped Saturday night if you want to make the jump.

Keith, I do not know when they will post up. You looking for your lap times, or just wondering what you're up against? And where where you when we needed gearing advice?

And actually you really don;t need to register by email, that is really just for me to know how many to expect. If you decide at the last minute, come on out and we'll make the accomodations needed.

....what is the weather in Bejing on 4/19? Sorry Martin I don't know. They were pretty light last time. I figure to the novice racer that is a good thing before you jump into CMRA novice C class with 55+. But that is just my thought.

Buck I wasn't instigating. Just asking if someone had an idea of the numbers. Houston should have plenty more than north of Dallas b/c of weather.

Didn't think you were Martin, just a wee bit of humor. I'd like to see more, but if there are more than 15 it will probably be most of the guys from this board. MH grudge race anyone? Just in the interest of making it fun and providing some incentive, I'll give a free track day to the 4th place and last place finishers in the novice 600 class.
