There is no drainage under the track yet, so it leaves "rivers" of dirt and mud across the track. That is what I saw at ECR during the CCS races.

I heard it was slick too and the aspalt really tears up your tires which is weird for a new track.

I think it is a little bit like MSRH. It is almost too non-abrasive. When it is cool and windy, it can be easy to cold tear a tire, because the track just doesn't put much heat into them.

I think houston is the easiest on tires. At TWS (Texas World Speedway) they look shredded by the end of the day and so does cresson.

Cresson requires a good setup, there are plenty of riders out there not tearing tires up at Cresson. Eagles Canyon is just so slick it was not generating enough heat into the carcass of the tires. You would spin the tire which put heat on the surface layers. That does nothing for the carcass of the tire. So what happens is the outer layer is softer than the underlayers and the outer layer of rubber tears off because the layers are not a consistent temp and they flex at different rates.
If your tires are shredding at TWS (Texas World Speedway) it is setup related. That track is typically hard on fronts; it will wear the tire but not tear it up. Again typically.
