i need to do a bonded title for my sv.

i posted some and whining a while back about how im having a lot of trouble registering my sv650... well, i mailed the title to the bike's first owner (cant contact the 2nd owner) and i got his signature on it, recorded the mileage and took it to the registration office, thinking i was good to go. well, they wanted a bill of sale. i explained that this was an even trade, so they wanted an even trade form filled out with make, model, and vin from the old car, and some signatures, appraisals and other stuff. i walked out frustrated and vented for a while. i cant contact the previous owner, so i cant get his sig and whatever else they needed, so i said screw it. i went back in, and asked about getting a bonded title. i need to do a vin rubbing, and get the bike appraised, and some other stuff, right... well... one question... where do i go to have a bike appraised? i have had this bike since like sept, but im still a total newb with all the paperwork bs. also, what else can i hope to expect with the bonded title?

im really close to just putting this good bike up on craigslist to trade for something similar, or a ninja 250 and some money- just something thats going to be easy to register, and has a current inspection and all that. i dont want to feel like a criminal every time i am riding to work.
