another odd problem.

1990 gsxr 750

ok i give it gas and like every few times it will hold the rpms and slowly go down.
kinda scary when i too it around tthe block.

could this be from the type of gas i put in it? i put supreme from Shell the other day and befor that i had no probs.

ummm... egrish bro. I think I gather that you are losing power and you don't know why. do any maintenance lately? maybe pinched fuel line. Might be bad gas if you haven't done any work to it and it just started acting up. You might need to be a little clearer about the troubles your having...

well thats about all i can say about it.
i dont know much about bikes but ill start it up give it a rev or two and it just holds the rev for a few sec then comes down....longest rev hold would be about 5 sec with out me tuching the throttle. i took off the filters to look and make sure its closing and not sticking....shot some carb cleaner in there and still doin it.

Go see Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited.

It could be anything from trash in the fuel lines to plugged gas cap vent to bad gas to a torn slide diaphragm, etc...
There is no way to diagnose this kinda thing on the internet.

Your second description, if I understand correctly, is that when you give a blip and then release the throttle it revs and then slowly decreases to idle.

Is that right?
