No, we didn't get the GT500... we were looking at a few of them but when push came to shove, we didn't want to spend $50k on a car. So this we got the GT/CS. It's a standard GT with exterior appearance package (front spoiler, rear valance, side scoops) and upgraded interior (two tone leather and dash kit). It's not super rare, but there are only like 5000 made so it's not the same old same old Mustang.

As for handling, yes... it does have a load of understeer, the front pushes pretty good. I'm getting an Eibach lowering kit, upper and lower control arms, rear panhard bar and some sway bars front and rear. I plan on trying some autocross later this year. Should be fun.

Happy Easter everyone... I'm off to church in my new car.

I know this doesn't directly translate to what you will experience but one of my co-workers put a Whipple on his Ford truck.

What a transformation! That is one badass truck, he can light 'em up at will and yet it doesn't seem to have killed his mileage or reliability as he regularly drives it to Tuscon, Ariz. where he owns a rent house.

I wanna ride after you do the install!

I used to have an '05 GT until I opted for my current love interest. This is the option I was considering:

Yeah, two of my buddies have Helion Turbos on their 07 GTs... and man, the difference is incredible. They are great because if you stay out of the boost the drive like a normal GT. But as soon as the boost kicks in, man... they are monsters.

We dragged a Viper a month or so ago in one of them and pulled on him all the way to about 120 when we let off... it was awesome.

As far the the track goes, I'm not sure... the wifey said that if I want a supercharger, the bike will need to go. I haven't been riding near as much as I used to and I really do love fast cars, so it's up in the air right now. Only time will tell with that one.

BTW, here is a pic from yesterday... my red 2008 GT/CS and my dad's blue 2007 GT.

They have 3 at Planet Ford 59... two green and one black.

We looked at them but couldn't justify the extra $3k over the GT/CS...

Here is a sound clip from with the new Corsa exhaust... this is some REALLY nice stuff. The build quality is great, there is absolutely NO drone whatsoever and when you go WOT the sound is awesome.

I think the popping sound on decel is because the engine is cold. Once it's warmed up it doesn't pop anymore...

Here are a few more pics... my dad's is the blue one.
