My New Toy

I spent 5 hours at the dealership today... but it was all worth it in the end. I picked up a 2008 GT California Special. It's badass...

Well, the GT engine is rated at 300hp but they all pretty much put out around 265-275 at the rear wheels. I have a new Corsa exhaust system waiting in the family room, I'll installing that tomorrow or Monday. I am also ordering a Steeda cold air intake and SCT tuner from Brenspeed here soon. The GTs are generally picking up around 25rwhp from the cai and tuner that that really helps out alot. I just want 300rwhp for the time being.

Right now, it's pretty quick, but nothing that's going to give you whiplash. Most magazines give it around a 5.5 second 0-60 time.

Long term, I plan on getting Whipple supercharger... a few guys I know with them are putting out around 440-480rwhp depending on the tune.

As for photos, I spent most of the day at the dealership and when I wans't there I was out enjoying the car. I'll get some more (and better) photos this week and will post them along with a sound clip of the new exhaust.

Would you happen to mean oversteer? Go look at NASA and SCCA racing. the current gen mustangs are kicking in their class.

NO, I CLEARLY MEANT UNDERSTEER! AND THOSE THAT YOU MENTIONED FUNDAMENTALLY MUST HAVE A HIGHLY MODED RACING SUSPENSION. FORD DIDN'T PUT A RACING SUSPENSION IN THE SHELBY OR ANY OF THE GT SERIES, KIND OF NON-SENSICAL IF YOU ASKED ME. YOU CANT JUST GIVE A CAR 500 HP AND LEAVE THE STANDARD SUSPENSION INTACT! ALLEGEDLY, THEY DID IT TO MAINTAIN A REASONABLE PRICE TAG.
