Unhappy The Truck is totalled...

so i'm sitting here crying because apparently the repairs for the truck are over $4k...

so...I'm out of a truck and I'm going to have to get another car. This couldn't possibly come at a worse time...especially with me trying to quit and go back to school...

Can someone look up the value of a 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe sport 2-door 5.7 L V8, power windows, door looks, driver side seat, cruise tilt, CD - 157K miles or at least, tell me how much the insurance company is going to give me for it?

Life sucks

believe it or not the insurance is not going to give you anything to what the KBB value is. Best thing that I can tell you is to take what ever money they give you and buy yourself a cheap reliable daily (toyota or honda)

sorry to hear about your truck, I know the feeling.

and did you tell your insurance that your back hurts?

the accident was her fault, my back hurts on and off and now the truck is totalled, i'm out of a truck and now i'm going to have to get another vehicle. Thats not fair. I want more $$ than the amount the truck is worth. I want enough to pay the truck off and and at least get something else. If she hadn't hit me, I wouldn't be in this situation

Get a lawyer, it will take longer but you will get a better deal, if they offer you some money they make you sign a thing that says that's all you gonna get.

lawyer!

The truck price is what it is, unless U can prove U did something to it like a NEW engine, trans, etc. BUT Ur money from injuries can far excede the value of the truck, if ur hurt, whiplash, back and neck injuries are hard to prove and they usually will try and appease U right away, not telling U to get over on the insurance, just get what U deserve, if U need help with the truck we can hook U up im sure, or just get another one, we were rearended on the way to the rodeo one year and they called everyone in the vehicle and I told them I was fine, didnt get chit, but Lisa told them she was SORE and she got like $5000, and found out later the couple in the back which were fine really got like 10K each, hope this helps
