Race Bodywork issue

I have sharkskinz bodywork on my cbr including the tank cover. Working on the bike tonight and taking off the track plastics I saw some groves in the frame.

It looks like where my knees hit the side of the tank cover, it has taken a ridge on the fiberglass tank cover and worn a groove into my frame on both sides. This is not just a groove in the paint, but actually into the metal. This is only after one trackday and 122 miles with the bodywork installed.

Has anyone else had this happen before to them? I think I'll go and file down the lip on the bodywork in that area and then find something to line the inside area of the tank cover with. Anyone else have suggestions?

I'm far from happy that this happened and at the same time shocked that it dug into the frame.

File the lip down and you should be o.k.
If you need some cushioning between it and the frame, let me know when you come up and I'll get you something.

Thanks Patrick. I am thinking about some foam similar to what is stuck on the tank itself. I'll swing by tomorrow or Saturday and pick up what you may have available.
