has anybody on here been to the holocaust museum downtown? i had to go there for a project in history class and its really sad...especially the survivors who tell stories in the video at the end of the exhibits.

Didn't know there was one. Oddly enough I was thinking about the holocaust today too.

if you haven't already you should check out the book and movie "The Diary of Anne Frank" and "Schindler's List". both awesome yet moving and sad, if your into historical events.

Very informative actually. I went there to refresh my history before I visited East Europe a while back because I knew I would tour Auschwitz-Birkenau, Banjica, Gross-Rosen, and Dachau. Worthy places to visit if you are ever in Europe.

Have you all been to the Galveston County Historical Museum? I love the storm exhibit there.

I've been. It's a well put together museum. I've seen a lot of documentaries, books, listened to lectures at the dinner table, etc. (my dad's a war history nut), and I was still impressed with their presentation--learned a lot. I wouldn't want to meet the person who could go in there and remain unaffected.
