Syvanna is finally sleeping and relaxing. She is in a lot of pain and won't try walking. :/: She's been sick to her stomach from the anesthesia and medications. She is not having a good day.

Keep her in your prayers. We won't know about her osteomyelitis until Monday.

That is very sweet of you. Nana brought her a big yellow duck! And a woman in the hospital bought her a little yellow duck. We're back at my dad's house now. We'll be home (back in Houston) tomorrow afternoon. Then she'll have the weekend to feel better- back to school on Monday. I just hope she's walking and not in the wheelchair! So far it doesn't look that way!

I don't know if I speak for Brandy ~ I'm sure I don't speak for Syvanna (Because I'm MEAN Aunt Toni) but you know me ~ I gotta speak...

First, please don't worry about Syvanna needing anything like toys and gifts. While these are great, COMPANY and friendship are better. All our kids are spoiled silly! They can't keep their rooms clean for the abundance of toys. And while these things are special, they aren't necessary...

That being said ~ Please DO come visit, (B needs the company as much, if not more than S...) send an email smile or joke, bring candy! (She loves Kit-Kats and Ferra Roche) Gifts will never be turned away but don't feel that you have to bring something just to come visit. She got so many gifts and toys from her last hospital stay that B was able to donate some to those to the families and children in the hospital who were even less fortunate. What a blessing her friends have been!

Right now what she needs (In my never to be humble opinion) is company, support, encouragement and chocolate (What woman doesn't?)

Thank you to everyone who has donated towards her medical bills. Your help will help us meet the needs that really matter for her future!

Thank you again - From the bottom of my Mean 'ol Heart!

poor baby. gotta hate going through that kind of stuff. i'd much rather take the pain from my child and have it myself if i could. but i will definatly pray for her. i believe in faith creating healing energies. just go buy her all the latest movies, a new blanket/pillow, and some munchies and she'll be ok i'm sure. much love!

Please don't be sad for us! Syvanna is amazingly tough and she's in pretty good spirits.

She's having a lot of pain in her right ankle, but not the left- probably because there are fewer nerve endings in her left leg (which may also explain why she hasn't had the deep bone pain from the osteomyelitis). So, the soft tissue damage has saved her from some pain!

We'll find out what's causing her infection by Monday. There is still a chance for only oral antibiotics- so she needs prayers! She is scheduled for a follow-up in two weeks.

Thank you so much, Daily Triumph and Gem! for bringing her the basket! She really appreciates that! It's so hard to give one child extra attention when they are already fighting over it! She shared her candy with her brother and cousins- Thank you, again!

Thank you ALL of Motohouston! for the donations you have given! We are close to $900! That is going to make a HUGE dent in the medical expenses! With my dad's discount, the initial cost of the procedure was $2035, and we expect it to rise to about $5k by the time the extras have been billed. You guys are truly the GREATEST! I can't ever tell you how much I appreciate what you've done for us!

Today wasn't a great day. :/: We went to my mom's for Easter dinner along with ALL (50+) the family and she cried a lot and was jealous of the other kids having fun- running around and having an egg hunt.

I didn't have a great day, either- honestly. I'm stressed out about not being able to fix her pain. :/:

Plus- she's pretty heavy and I have a really hard time carrying her. We brought her wheel chair, but that made her pretty much immobile due to the hill and steps.
