RideSmart Trivia Contest - March 22/31

Hello to all.

It has been a couple weeks since the last one, but we are still here, and happy to present another contest for your enjoyment.

I would love to post the questions now, but I will not.

This one, similar to previous contest, will have a few prizes as listed below:
1. 50% off a RideSmart Track day this season. Depending on venue, it is worth up to $80.00).
2. Free leathers and boots rental at a RideSmart track day. This is valued at $75.00.
3. Free bike cam video at a RideSmart track day. A $25 dollar value.

Here is how this will work:
- I will post questions to this contest today/tonight.
- Participants sound off on this thread to confirm participation, and send me a pm with answers to the questions (please provide name, a tel contact & email address).
- I will tell you if you have some answers wrong (wont tell you any answers though). You can resubmit.
- Once time is up (we will run until Thursday 3.20.08 EOD), 3 names will be drawn from the list of participants. This will be done in my special draw hat.
- The first person drawn will have a choice of one of the 3 prizes.
- The second person drawn will have a choice of one of the remaining two prizes.
- The third name drawn will automatically get whatever is the sole prize to claim.

This is a great opportunity especially for the new track riders. Get your answers in, and if you do and your name is drawn, you can get leathers for a track day - awesoooooome.

All are great prizes. Wish luck to all of you. I will be back shortly with questions. Stay tuned.

OK folks. Here are the questions to the trivia contest.
Remember, we will close the contest just before midnight Thursday 3.20.08.

This time around, we will have all questions related to the well know, and in may eyes, the most accomplished rider in motogp history, Vale Rossi (for those who do not like him, we will try to have another rider featured some time as well).
Sound off on this thread so we know you are there and pm me the answers, your name/email and tel.
Winner will be announced Friday (maybe even right after closing).

Here we go:

1. Rossi won his first 500cc World Championship in his rookie year.
A) FALSE
B) TRUE

2. Valentino's fiercest rival during his motogp career was:
A) Alex Barros
B) Carlos Checa
C) Max Biaggi
D) Casey Stoner

3. Which of the following is Rossi's regular pre-ride ritual(s):
A) Stopping about 2 metres from his bike, bending over and reaching his boots
B) When arriving at his bike, crouching down and holding the right-side foot-peg with his head bowed
C) Adjusting the fit of his leathers by standing straight up on the foot-pegs, whilst riding down the pit-lane
D) All of the above
E) A and C

4. Which well-respected chief racing engineer did Rossi take with him, when he moved from Honda to Yamaha in 2004?
A) Jeremy Burgess
B) Joesph Barnes
C) Jack Black
D) Joshua Brackley

5. Which two natural elements are a prominent part of Rossi's livery and helmet designs?
A) Sun and Saturn
B) Sun and Moon
C) Venus and Uranus
D) Moon and Mars

6. Trail braking is the art of being able to brake with your rear brake and allow the bike to slide into a corner. It is a bad idea on the track, and it is a bad idea on the street (especially if one is a very experienced rider).
A) TRUE
B) FALSE

Good luck to all of you. Remember, prizes are good, but track days with RideSmart are great
