wanna know how I know my day sucks worse

Around 3 A.M. my wife got up to feed the baby. She sees the water level in our 135 gal. fish tank is about 6". She runs in and wakes me up. Sure enough the seam in one of the corners gave out and dumped about 100 gallons of water in the office. The tank is in the wall between the living room and the office. It even made it into the kitchen and flooded the entry way. Sucks! I was shop vaccing water till around 5. I finally gave up. We just got new carpet and I'm not having that expensive shyt ripped up. It better dry out. A new tank is 575.00. Im still looking for one I can get sooner than 10 days from now.Its not a standard size. The fish are all crammed in our 50 now. Only one fish died.

people are telling to to buy new. Never know when the other sides are gonna give . I think the tank is about 10 years old. I figured it would leak in time, but not a total failure.

Dont reseal it. Buy a new one. same thing happened to ours a while back. All wall mounts are like that. Is your frame stainless or wood? we went with the stainless.

Trim is wood its an oceanic tank.Against most opinions I think I'm gonna try to reseal. If it doesnt hold I might just make it a snake tank. I would rather have the fish, but I already have a shyt load of $ in it. I dont feel like messing with a replacement at this time. It does look killer though. Its was full of big cichlids. There is now about 50" of fish in my 50 gal. Thats pushing it.

The exact same thing happened to us, when we had the house built, we designed the living room with the 135 built in the wall, behind the couch, looks awesome, but we came home from work about 1 year ago, (2 YO house) and had about 3 inches of water in it and only 1 fish swimming sideways survive, he was like save me , what a mess

it didnt crack. The corner seam just failed. It happens. Thats a lot of stress on a siliconed seam. The front is 72.5" side is 24x18".
