its gettin to me......

Not sure why but im really startin to feel the need to be back on a bike, i miss it so much, i realized today that everything i lost in the wreck i have replaced, rebuilt or renewed since the wreck, all but riding. at the start of all this wreck stuff and at the start of rehab i had made it a goal to be back on a bike again within 2 years. that day has come and passed for me. time for me to start figuring this one out. ideas anyone?

Trike? Bet you could figure out how to ride one - more stable - still have the wind in your hair feeling...

another alternative is a goldwing trike. I know Hunts Automotive down in Webster makes them with independent suspension and I think it can be fitted with hand controls.

T-Rex is one bad ride

About a month ago after a M&G, one passed me and G-Man like we were standing still... Couldn't catch it doing WELL ABOVE the posted limit either.

Big problem would seem to be the slow roll stuff, at speed...body lean and pressure on one bar would be ok.

Autoshifter and maybe some kinda outrigger setup for the stoplights etc...

Dunno, but good luck mon. :-)

i seen a vid of a quad on a bike and when he would go slower than 5 mph he had some "wheelie" bars come down on each side of the bike.

then yes, i could use a air shifter, just so many options..............

Chris,
There are a lot of amputees on this website that can get you some information on how to return to riding on 2 wheels. http://www.bacsuv.com/
I am sure that they can fill your head with some awesome ideas. Why not go with a light, nimble Kawasaki Ninja 250? That way you can get used to it all over again and it won't be too heavy. Also, if you drop it a few times, no biggy.

a 250 is probably the right way to go.

the site you pointed out, i THINK i am a member of that site and i guess i havent seen where you can talk to other amputees on it, thats a very busy, big site
