all the same, just pick what you think looks better and whats more comfortable to sit on.

BTW, I would NEVER recomend one of those bikes for a first bike.

Learning on a 250 dosent mean that you are ready for a 600 or 750. I will say that it's a good start and you're already a step closer. Keep it up. MSF?

He is right. You are off to a good start. MSF is KEY! If you can ***RESPECT*** a 600/750, you should be fine.

If I have to say one out of those, I say lean towards the 600 rather than a 750. Atleast you're not wanting a litre bike! Why you not considering yamaha?

I agree with soloracer !! keep in mind 1 thing ...when you do get a bike ,take your time & go at YOUR OWN PACE . Do not get yourself into a ride where you think you need to push yourself past your limits just to keep up !!

Enjoy & good luck & be safe & wear your gear !!!

Welcome

How long will your friend let you LEARN on the 250? How many miles under your ? I have a 250 and I put 4000 miles on it in 4 months - I felt like I out grew it very fast. I have been researching bikes for the past 4 months because I promised to keep it a year. I have learned a lot more about control in the past couple of months than I did in the first few even though I've only added 1000 more miles. 250's are a dime a dozen and easy to sell when you are through ~ maybe you should rent/lease your friends for a few thousand miles?

there's a HUGE diff. between a cruiser 250 and a ninja 250.

and +1 to MSF.

you can get it for $150 at a few schools locally. and it's well worth it.

Bike(s):
2004 ninja 250

I got a used ninja 250, and dropped it 2 weeks after starting riding, not going fast at all and only broke a turn signal cover, a bigger bike would've been more expensive repairs, and a new bike would've made me feel even worse about having dropped it. so... i'd say go used
