ONLY because this is your first long ride would I suggest a trailer or have someone else ride the bike for you. The first time I rode in a high wind on my 250 it pushed me from the left lane into the right lane. Even with MSF, I had no idea how to ride in the wind. I didn't ride for a week after that because I just kept thinking about what COULD have happened if I had been riding in heavier traffic.

Here is your weather forcast for today from Weather.com

Isolated T-Storms / Wind High/80°F

Precip 30%
Wind: SSE 22 mph
Max. Humidity: 76%
UV Index: 5 Moderate

Coming from me.. I do recommend getting a buddy to ride it back. As soon as you get it home.. ride it day in and day out.. and get your practice from there. Although I do feel the 5 hour first ride for me taught me a lot about riding.. I could have gained the same knowledge in a much safer way.

You'll be fine man ... just relax and dont worry about it. Just drive aware keep it at a good pace where you feel comfortable.
Congrats and enjoy your new ride without worrying too much about the rest.

I think you would have no problem doing it just dont go during rush hour or at night. and just have whoever take you to follow you back just incase there is any kind of issues. you passed the MFS so im sure you have efficient skill to navigate a 60mile ride home. just take it slow and expect everyone is out to run you over.

Thank you all who offered help!

Mala Escorted me and helped me start the bike 2 times after the battery died... battery. Couldn't find one at walmart or vatozone, so it's off to the dealer tomorrow.
It didn't rain but it was windy. I just leaned into the gusts and it was fun.
Just returned home after emptying a tank of gas. I feel so relieved of stress... And worked out cause I had to push the bike twice lol.

I'm sure Mala will post pics in some thread. I want to see those too!
