Re: Friend down 610 @ Westheimer

Hate to hear that, I wonder why he could not power out of it. I never ride next to anyone, if some one gets besides me I always power away! Man that sucks!

You dont know the facts of the case, yet you blatantly insist on a rider's guilt in a girl's near fatality. Racer X, please do not make generic pessimistic opinions concerning someone's life that you have no personal interest in.

You're like a broken record, spewing callous remarks that have no bearing on the truth. You weren't there why purvey your slanted opinion as fact?

zapata thought the trucker was in the wrong.....was he there? he has an opinion as do i.........we have differing viewpoints.......so what....cuz i think the biker was in the wrong, i'm automatically wrong..........don't tell me your into the "we ride bikes" so we have to stick together BS mentality..........

sorry if i'm jaded....i've been involved w/ sportbikes for the last 5yrs........like i said, the rep. we have is not something made up , we've earned it. and we deserve it........... :dontknow:

Re: Friend down 610 @ Westheimer

I am not going to get involved but Racer is somewhat right about our reputation in a way... most accidents that do occur that involve sport bikes is 90% of the time the riders fault....

and mabe jumping to conclusions IS the wrong thing to do, just because its our rap... but we have to look at everything...

and you know... NO ONE WAS THERE!

mabye he was weaving in and out at high speeds...

mabye the trucker didnt see him and hit him, and blamed him for weaving in and out to cover his demise

we will not know...

This thread was started by Runner because he is concerned about his firiend and his girl friend so we should show our support and some respect instead of starting pointless discussions based on personal oppinions (nobody was there).

my prayers go out to the girl and your friend. no matter what happened, it sucks when people's lives get ruined outta the blue.

on a side note: i had a friend that is doin ten at the pen for doing crazy riding while drunk with his friend on the back. his friend died, he barely lived, and he had money to fight it, but still lost, and is now gone for another 7 years. bless him, the girl, and your friend. like i said, i will pray for them.

i think it is the truckers fault since two of my friend been side swiped by a 18 wheeler while in their car before and they never stop, they just continue to go.

and people always say they see bikers weaving in and out. we make a lane change and they will call it weaving in and out, image.

anyways, hope all is well for both of them. i bet she is in a coma because the helmet was not hers, so it did not fit properly. which resulted in the injury. blood inside the helmet? poor fitment i bet. i went down at 80mph and my head was fine, no concusion, nothing. suomy!

i went down in my beater shoei on my pocketbike and i had the worse headache for days. because the helmet was made for narrow egg head and i have a more round/normal head. now i wear nothing but helmet that fits perfectly.

sorry to hear that...I hope the girl gets out ok

Regardless of everyone's opinions, I hope that the investigation is impartial and whomever was at fault is found and charged.

This is why I dont even attach my rear seat. I wouldnt know how to live after taking someones baby.

I cant say how honestly and deeply I hope she lives to tell her parents she loves them and have a life of her own.

I hope your friend is stronger than I am, it would bring me to my knees.

save her please. . .
