7 SECONDS ON 'STONES!

Yup, dropped 7 seconds today after making the switch to some sticky-icky BT002's

I'll see if I can make it a full 10 seconds after tomorrow!

(I told you I'd post anything over 5 seconds John )

Nice job Todd! It's amazing how much confidence race rubber gives you. And the Bridgestone Bt-002's are incredible tires. they are stttiiiiicccckkkkyyyy.

soo do you attribute the improvement to greater tire traction, or just the confidence of knowing it's there?

Were you having issue's with your old tires?
I find that if your a smooth rider, you can go pretty fast on a good set of street tires. Sometimes race rubber will mask things that can develop into bad riding habits later.

My post was really just for fun... since I was coming off street tires, 2CTs. Its not as if I changed from some other brand of race tire and gained that much time, I think that would be impossible just based on tires alone.

My times are still pretty ghey, in the 50's at MSRH. The tires just gave me more confidence.

It's a shame you had to leave early Sunday. We were gonna have fun. O well I had all the fun without you and my "Stones" bt002R streets stepped out from under me in the carousal

Sorry to hear you crashed dood! I heard you were feeling OK, though. How bad is the bike? I guess you'll be bumping up a class next time, eh?

I will definately be there the rest of the year (most days)... Lemme know when you're coming out and I'll be ready to play!

If the novice class is little again. I'd stay in it. If yall let me

Bike will probably be totalled but I'll let yall know. Tuan has been helping me out so far

I'll probably be out there (and at other tracks) twice a month now. Starting to rethink this street riding stuff

As soon as I get the bike situation finalized, I will be back ASAP! Most likely looking at a total and getting an 07 ZX-6R

DAMNZ. The track is like crack

It's cool man, great improvement either way.
Colin Edwards fell about 8 seconds off the race pace when he mounted a set of 2CT's on his GP race bike for a demonstration. That just goes to show you how important a good set of tires can be.
