I don't have any plants...I am not one with a green thumb We had ants but he got rid of those...I am getting tired of watching him suck the flies up with the vacuum

we made a fly trap in my "college" house...

a jar...some beer...a rubberband...saran wrap...

it worked really well. we had to change it every day or so, but we controlled the problem.

we also made one with a paper funnel into the jar and that one worked well too.

i've heard that if you leave out a coffee cup with water, dish soap, and a little vinegar it attracts them and gets rid of them.. not sure if they die or just go away, haven't tried it myself....
