All this used to BS and Houston is about to have one of the sickest concrete parks in the country downtown. Ride or Die Losers!

I need more info on this...free? open to bikes? and more...concrete public parks always close bikes out a week after opening because the ledges get chipped...fuggers.

If you dream of riding bowls, grinding rails, or cutting and sweeping through the largest cradle in the world, you will soon be able to fulfill your desire right here in Houston at the new Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark - a state-of-the-art, public 30,000 square-feet in-ground facility.

Designed by the premiere skatepark firm Grindline, Houston’s new skateboard facility will provide the first world-class, in-ground skatepark in our region, and vault the city to the forefront of American venues for this fast-growing, dynamic sport. The park will have areas for skaters of all levels, from the seasoned pro to the beginner – skaters can work on their kick flip, ollie, fakie big spin...or simply learn to stay balanced!

Looks like a skateboard only type of park by what they said?

I do know at Big League here in League City they have a skate park for bikes also but its usually pretty swamped with skateboarders so there isn't alot of open areas due to its size

Every public park I have been to in the country had bikers at it and I have been to plenty. :dontknow:

But, if they want to build a park just for bikes I am all for that too.

I have ran into a few bikers while skating and it is not very fun. :/:

the reason I think bikes will not be allowed is because this will be a staffed park...even the little neighborhood pocket parks that are public (like the one by ez7) have signs that say "no bikes".

but, they are there everyday and there won't be any staff to my knowledge but, we will see. If you want to hit some ramps anyways you got my number and I got access to a few.

1 of mine is being reserected already.
