insurance costs

Hi friends,

I have a brand new 07 cbr600rr (0 miles right now)..bought it yesterday for $8011 from a dealer..Need to get it inspected & title license + tax...Anyways, as for insurance, I called Allstate up and quoted $106/year (liability only) since it is paid off. Is this expensive? Clean record, male, 36 y/o, no accidence in 3 years...had ticket in previous 3 years but cleared (took defensive driving so it should not be in record anyways).

the dealer is supposed to inspect it, title, and tax you for it.

$8,000 investment....i'd get full coverage...at least for the first year.

try state farm in our sponsor section.

State farm had the best coverage for the price of anyone I quoted. I have full coverage plus theft. Not bad.

How long you been riding? I'm not that much older than you, and I'm paying $375/year full coverage + theft + $50k life insurance through State Farm, but my bike's not a 600RR. Nevertheless, call Tuan at State Farm for an excellent quote.

im 20 and pay 140 a month for full coverage on an 07 gsxr750 with state farm, that includes medical and everything, thats half what my previous insurance wanted for liability. same as in your case i got full coverage at least for he first year and with all the stolen bike threads lately you definitely want theft.
pm me i can send you his number if interested

In Houston it'd be risky to drive without uninsured motorist coverage.
