Sorry to hear this happening. Are you putting down the wiemeriner? How active were you with the dog that attacked? IF left couped up working dog will get frustrated and then aggresive....

The dog had to be put to sleep- punctured lung + internal injuries. It was very devastating. I'm going to take the other dog to the pound tomorrow. Very sad.

This is just two days after my mom's Yorkie was killed by another dog in her front yard, right in front of her eyes. Very sad week indeed.

i am so sorry for you.. i feel ya pain.. my lab killed my yorkie right at my feet two years ago.. no reason.. they were best pals for 4 years.. then she just bit her thru the neck an hit the artery and she was gone in 30 seconds.. nothing i could do... sorry for your loss..

sorry to read about such a sad event. it's still hard to leave a dog at the pound, even when it's done wrong, but it's def. one of the hardest things to do. things will get better with time. again i'm sorry B.

I'm sorry Squoddy :(

Are the kids coping okay? Two dogs out of the house and under those circumstances couldn't have been easy.

I forgot to add to my other post.. the day my lab killed my yorkie.. i had given her .. the heart meds.. Interceptor(white box).. i had noticed in the past sort of an aggitated or slightly aggressiveness in her behaivor after given her these meds.. just thought she was slightly sick from them. on this day i gave her the meds at about 10am.. at about 12 i noticed her aggressive nature again.. at about 1 is when she killed my yorkie.. i called the vet and asked about this med.. she said she had never heard anyone before reporting this. but not that it couldnt happen.. We changed my dogs meds to Heartgard.(brown box) and no more problems.. just thought i would pass this along... sorry again for your loss.

Don't know when B will answer. She's out of town for a few days. So, I'm gonna add my .02/version.

The kids are doing a little better. It was very, very hard at first. And Jake carried Cosmo all the way to the vets office, crying his heart out. B was as calm as possible. Glad I could drive for them. We knew it would be bad. The next day was worse for B, but better for Jake because he didn't have to hold LaLa, she wasn't dying and I don't think he really understood what taking her to the pound meant. B had to write down the details about why she was turning the dog over to the pound, but she did not want to make the decision about euthanization. We don't know what they did/will do. Not a judgment call I would wish on anyone.
