See what had happened was...

ok so...I was in the right hand lane, going straight. The person in the left lane next to me, stopped to allow someone to turn left in front of 2 lanes of traffic, and the old turned and BLAMM-O right into me. Knocked me out of my lane and into the driveway of the bank :/:

luckily the driver that allowed the lady to turn stopped (she shouldve actually gotten a ticket), and then a few other witnesses came forward and all validated my story. So i'm not at fault. The old lady went to the hospital, though. I got out and kinda yelled at her, but not much. She was complaining of shortness of breath etc.

I'm okay, my back's sore, truck's a little banged up, it's drivable, but definitely not for any long distance trips can't say the same for her car though

I'm in the process of emailing myself the pics so that I can post 'em

Again, thank you guys soooo much for the well-wishes

that made me feel really special

People are dumb sometimes.. I hate when someone stops to do that and doesn't consider the other lanes...

glad you made it relatively unscathed!

Don't take your back for granted, see how it feels for a couple days after the accident. One of my guys got rear ended Saturday and felt ok at the time. The next day his back was so tight and sore he had to go to the hospital.

Glad you are ok!

ive always thought it should be illegal for people to stop and allow drivers to pass through two or three lanes of traffic.

sounds like my 1st accident. it was my fault. i was turning left and the car in front of me stopped to let me do it. as soon as i turned the car in the other lane (which i couldnt see due to a stopped car) hit me. I was fortunate that no one was hurt. i paid through the nose for my ins after that though...

It is unfortunate accident, Amber, and i am sorry. Imagine what would have been if the car next to you was stopped to let someone cross the street? like a runnign kid or something...

Totally man! I was just about to write that in my message but then scrapped it. I hate it when people do the "false politeness" on the roads... You have to obey the law, not try to earn politeness points! When someone is giving up their right of way in order to let someone else who didnt have the right of way to make their maneuver... i am usually stuck behind them and wanna knock on their head and say - dude, ur trying to be polite to that person while being rude to me by depriving me of my right of way...

too bad she has state farm. when that idiot hit me and ran, they wouldn't pay my claim against him. a55holes.
it is illegal to cross lanes like that, I bitched about it relentlessly in a thread and I know we ALL hate it.
glad you're ok, eat that old lady a new , sometimes feeling bad about something will result in a change of attitude. ask anyone in basic training!
