Work rant thread...

We have a relatively 'new' supervisor... for most of the first year he was 'ok'.

Lately though...sheesh. Talk about a superman or ghod complex.

'Superman' as we have come to call him, states...

He has 'laser focus'
Panoramic Hearing
Photographic memory

...and to a select few... he's clairvoyant

I'm stuck on a call, I get antsy on long, slow calls.. I fidget. He's been gone all day, I'm sitting here tapping my mouse. So I hear 'whats that darn noise'

"Im tapping my mouse"

'Some of us are trying to work over here'

"I thought you have LASER FOCUS?"

'Yea, but I have PANORAMIC HEARING too'...

hard to find good employees these days. seems like people worry about their social life before putting food on the table.

Well, I was called into my supervisors office yesterday after about 1.5 months on the job (6+ years in the field) and was basically told that I needed to LOWER my work standards and project review output because I was making her (my supervisor) and the rest of the people in our department look bad....WTF??!? I told her it wasn't my fault I am used to working in a higher volume department than what they had here, and in time, I was sure to be as lazy as everyone else.

Has anyone ever been fired for being too good at their job? I thought those people got promotions!

nice! we have season tickets (4 seats + club level passes) and i usually give 2 away for $2 to get my sister in.. she's going to sit in my lap or my mom's if she comes so i figure why not just get her a standing room only or kid ticket and let someone else enjoy the seats??

I started typing a post but I deleted the whole thing because one post could possibly give any of you even a glimpse as to what a douche my new boss is. Every time in the late afternoon he shows up and says “hi..Lacy” in his lifeless, dull voice, I shudder and think about how much more work's gonna suck because he is sitting in the office across from me now, to make absolutely ridiculous requests that are impossible to complete, and disgustingly over of budget. I’m just going to stop here.
