Diddo, never touch a drink if i'm riding within 4-12 hours ish... And if i drive, limited to one drink with meal and have 2 hours after its finished before i will touch car... otherwise wife drives.... PERIOD. Thats my rule... EVEN just pulling the car up to the front, PERIOD... no exceptions. My dad's military training instilled within me.... I made the 2 hour rule for one drink with food as a reasonable and safe exception.

I got that route down. I've made 3 trips, by my lonesome, taking that route up on through the forest and back down 3090 and 362. Makes for a decent 200 mile loop from my house. Now the trip on backroads from that last ride we went on from the forest passing through Tomball...don't have a clue.

Hope you guys don't mind going off road. I know at the end of last year there was no black top on 362 north of 2988. Not sure if they paved it though? If no one knows you guys should take hwy 6 down to 2988 then cut across to 362 instead of taking 105.

Probably could make an early morning ride but it will be too late in the day for me, this Saturday.

I was on 362 last month and it's fine up there.

Ride Report: So went really really well. Enjoyed meeting each of you.... except what was the deal with the "cool suzuki bike squido"... with a nicely tatooed back that i got to see due to his tshirt being his only gear besides his helmet. (honestly i never could understand wearing gloves but no jacket? duh!).... Pleasure riding with you guys.... A good pace, but safe enough for me to catch up and enjoy.....

AND! After booking it on those backroads on speeds a little above the posted (nothing squid like of course), I went to see 10,000 BC (which sucked)>... and within 15 secs of pulling out turned my bike to sharp and straight into the ground.... I won't cop out like... I laid my bike down since I knew it was safer than hitting the curb etc.... no I messed up. No counterweight or throttle to compensate and turning to tight ended up causing me to toss my bike on my foot, which I had to shove the bike with the other foot to crawl out... IN FRONT OF Cinemark Spring Cypress Theater.... Wow. That was embarassing.... My bike flooded and took 15 mins to restart... The constable came by and asked if i was planning on parking there, and took a different tone when he found out about me dropping the bike.....

Wow.... My first drop to date from training. I've got about 3000 miles on me since beginning of the year, average around 900-1000 a month... so i'm glad it was in the parking lot, and not in traffic on 1960.!

Guys, keep riding safe!

Yeah, it was a great ride guys! I have never seen curves that were that long...look forward to riding with you guys later on.

Sheldon, don't worry about laying the bike down. Tons of people have laid thier bikes down going under 10mph for the exact reasons.
