David,
i just did a lot of research on this subject.
The top 2 I came up with were the Moto Q Global and the Blackjack II.

The new Windows 6 OS works much better, but you still need to make sure applications are actually closed and not running in the background.
The Moto Q Global comes with an extra battery that has extended life.

Give me a shout if you have any other questions.

if you don't want a full blow PDA, the moto Q is a great phone or even the LG Rumor is good for text/internet use

I just got a brand new Blackberry Pearl at a benefit auction. It's for Sprint though. If it was for ATT, I'd sell it to ya. I'd love to use it but I'm not up for spending $30 extra/mo just to have access to email/net on my phone. I'm around a computer enough at work/home that I don't need to spend that much more to have it in the car, haha.

Mine can't. Sprint uses a different network than ATT does. It's CDMA, while ATT is GSM I believe (uses SIM cards, Sprint doesn't).

I have Sprint at the moment, but I don't know if I'll be keeping them past October. I don't want to use this high dollar phone for just a few months. I'd rather just sell it and stick with what I have.

Plus, after looking at it, I'd have to pay an extra $30/mo to be able to use the phone for the reason I'd want it... net and email. , my cable internet at home is $30! I'm not going to pay that net access on top of my current $50+tax cell service plan.

Think I'm just going to resell it and get my money back, ugh. Impulse buying FTL. Then again, it was for a benefit so the money went to good use.
