i had to go to dps in austin to get mine. You have to submit fingerprints and wait 24 hours to pick up the report in person or they mail it and takes 7 to 10 days...

so much for that. . .I have a clean record, just need dates for my traffic offenses. Oh well, approximate dates will have to do. It's better to fess up ahead of time than come out a liar

any local pd should be able to give you your traffic record if I am not mistaken. Criminal records have to go through dps.

or you could be a good boy/girl and not have to worry about that kinda stuff, can't even remember the last ticket if was actually convicted of, let alone a "real" crime.

i work for a major oil construction co. and they just did a general background check. no need for specific dates of tickets and such.

I don't need/want/care about your opinion so please don't post in any more of my threads. My online profile asks about EVERY experience with a LEO i have EVER had, including traffic tickets, deferred's, and dismissed. Therefore, i wanted exact dates for everything i could find. Get my point!?!?

Once again, Racer X trying to act like he's better than others. What's your degree in Racer X? How much do you bring home Racer X? How long have you been in the "industry" Racer X (since you constantly mention who you work for like that makes you special or something)?

He asked a specific question and gave the reason why. No need to come on here acting holier than thou with your "well, you could be a good boy" BS.

You're such a tool.

cared enough to respond huh? FYI, i appreciate your input, just not your personal opinion when you belittle others I'm a good kid IMO, never been in any major trouble. I would rather fess up to every ticket i have ever had ahead of time and them not find it than ignore the question and have a skeleton pop up. Tis better to admit to being a fool than be found a liar IMO. Have a great work week Ed.

It's ok jet, ed's karma will catch up with him soon enough....

But anywho, I wouldnt worry too much about it unless you've been convicted of a felony. That's all they are really looking for anyways. Traffic Tickets dont really mean a thing to them unless it involves you driving one of their company vehicles. In my experience, they just want to know if they are hiring an ex-con or a regular joe.....

BTW, what company are you looking to get hired on with?
